Most new transfers have trouble adjusting from community college to UCSB.

Fortunately UCSB offers two great services: CLAS and UCSB Career Services offer solutions to all these problems.

CLAS( Campus Learning Assistance Services)

    • Provides academic services to over 7000 UCSB students per year
    • Staffed by Program Coordinators, Learning Skills Counselors, Instructors, and over 160 graduate and undergraduate Tutors and Peers

    • GuachoLink- Official site for jobs, internships, and campus interviews. In addition, it serves as a gateway to subscription services that are free for UCSB student
    • Career Planning- Choosing a major, choosing a career, researching a career and getting involved
    • Internships- Help researching and locating internships
    • Job Search - Resume building skills, mock interviews, researching employment oppurtunities
    • Graduate School- Choosing graduate program, applying techniques, alternative options
